ABUSIVE - Any marks on the body, consider as abusive. Sexual Abusive- IP or older volunteer must follow due to difficulties of cases. Lady Volunteer should be followed with police or security authority before approaching the accused. First bring to nearest Hospital, clinic depends on abusive. Request from the doctor a report for abusive for Police reference. Taking the information. Take the picture of the abusive areas as some may vanish such as redness as evidence. Bring to nearest police station to make police report. Inform the Manpower ministry on this case. Alternative arrangement if the victim wish to stay back- Before making report but we will have record to handle the employer to safeguide the victim. Check with the victim his/her plans. Return home or return work. Sometimes they said they will have family home and may need the money. For that, you can try to talk to Employer and request for transfer to another company. Request for compensation for the abusive, another alternative.
Terrible Living Condition / No Food Check with the employee whether they can improve or change their place of living. Inform Ministry of Manpower of poor housing for foreigner workers. Most of the NGO in Singapore offers free food as tin or noodles. We can request to give some food. We can help daily continue supply for them until they standup by themselve. We suppose to protect the weak as the victim, paid so much money to come to foreign country to earn a living. They must agree to report first unless very abusive cases. We nee Volunteer Executives/All countries - Instruction to work with Incident Reporting Daily /Weekly/Monthly call to check on their welfare for few minutes that someone helping on their welfare or visit to hospital daily until they are settled. Not suppose to provide money to victims without approval of International President. We want genuine cases of taking advantages of our Volunteers.
